This Privacy Policy explains how producTinder (“producTinder”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services at productinder.app (the “Service”). producTinder is a platform where verified Product Hunt makers connect and support each other’s launches.

Information we collect

• Account information you provide when registering: your name, email address, and password.
• Product Hunt details: the Product Hunt profile URL and username you submit, and public profile data we retrieve from the Product Hunt API (such as your display name, headline, avatar, and account creation date) so we can verify your account.
• Content you create: proof screenshots you upload, messages you exchange with matched makers, and your project/launch details.
• Usage and transaction data: your credit balance, matches, activity on the platform, and records of purchases.
• Technical data: essential cookies and session identifiers needed to keep you signed in.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and verify that you are a genuine Product Hunt maker.
• To operate core features: matching, support exchange, messaging, credits, and notifications.
• To send transactional emails (for example, application received, approval, and rejection notices).
• To process purchases of credits and provide receipts.
• To keep the community safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use.

Payments

Purchases of credits are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. When you buy credits, your payment details (such as card information) are entered on and handled by Lemon Squeezy — we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Their processing of your data is governed by Lemon Squeezy’s own privacy policy.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account data and uploads.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (Merchant of Record).
• Anthropic (Claude) — automated review of uploaded upvote-proof screenshots.
• Product Hunt API — retrieving public profile data for verification.

What other members can see

Other verified members can see your public maker profile — for example your name, Product Hunt username, avatar, and the launches you add. Your email address, password, and credit balance are never shown to other members.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, or where required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud and abuse.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records for accounting and tax purposes).

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@productinder.app and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

The Service is intended for makers who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
